WASHINGTON, July 5 (DC Times Online) — Michael Dell and Susan Dell have pledged $6.25 billion to help seed Trump Accounts for 25 million American children age 10 and under in ZIP codes with median incomes below $150,000, a move the White House said will add $250 to each eligible child’s account.

The White House said the gift will flow through the new accounts infrastructure and supplement a $1,000 government seed contribution from the Treasury Department for U.S. citizen children born between Jan. 1, 2025, and Dec. 31, 2028.

According to the White House, the accounts are designed to grow over time and can be used for education, a first home or starting a business when the child reaches adulthood. The release said guardians would control the accounts until age 18.

The administration said contributions to the accounts are scheduled to begin on July 4, 2026, as part of the nation’s 250th anniversary. The White House said President Donald Trump joined the Dells in Washington to mark the announcement and described the pledge as one of the largest direct investments ever made in American families.

Michael Dell, founder of Dell Technologies, has framed the gift as part of a broader push to give children an early financial stake, according to the White House announcement and the company founder’s public remarks reported by major news outlets.
